VMAT – Volumetric Modulated arc therapy
VMAT is a special form IMRT , VMAT can also be called Rapid Arc. VMAT is different to normal IMRT in that the radiotherapy machine rotates around the patient during a radiotherapy beam in an arc shape. The machine continuously reshapes and changes the intensity of the radiation beam as it moves around the body.

BRACHYTHERAPY
Brachytherapy is a form of internal radiation , where in radioactive isotope,(Iridium 192) is put very close to tumor, as result very high dose is given to tumor with very minimal complications to normal tissues . It is mainly used in gynecological cancers , and its done under general anesthesia and patient goes back home same the day .

2D COMPLEX RADIOTHERAPY
This is a simple conventional treatment done with our linear accelerator. Earlier conventional treatments were done in Cobalt machines , now all conventional treatments are like a 3dcrt with CT based planning and portal imaging for more accuracy.

SRS/SRT – STEREOTACTIC RADIOTHERAPY
Radiosurgery is an alternative to traditional neurosurgery , basically a bloodless surgery done on a day care basis , where patent goes home the same day after the treatment. All the complications pertaining to surgery can be avoided with this technique , and infact better results than surgery is possible .With our APEX MLC, we can get better conformity and treat tumors which are upto 1cms with excellent accuracy. SBRT – STEREOTACTIC BODY RADIOTHERAPY
SBRT is an latest technique of radiation , where in very high dose of radiation is given to small tumors to achieve good local control. Tumors of size upto 1cms can be treated with this technique. IGRT – IMAGE GUIDED RADIOTHERAPY
IGRT is a from of IMRT , where in to improve the delivery of treatment , it involves conformal radiation guided by a CT scan(CONE BEAM CT SCAN) , taken in the treatment room and the images are verified with the planning CT scans . Any errors in positioning can be immediately corrected . This is done to verify the treatment position .
IGRT is more advanced technique , which is combined with ABC for all tumors which move with respiration .
